FOODTANK works with smallholder farmers to promote climate-smart agriculture through practical training, demonstration farms and hubs, farmer field, technology use, and community extension support. The program integrates sustainable practices such as conservation agriculture, agroforestry, improved seed varieties, integrated pest management, proper use of pesticides, good disposal of pesticide packaging, efficient water use, and soil fertility management with indigenous farming knowledge. By combining local experience with innovative, climate-resilient technologies, FOODTANK strengthens food security, increases productivity, promotes health, enhances household incomes, and builds resilient farming communities.
